| I can’t find anything on their site about this but I know they accept videos to accompany applications. Can anyone share insight? |
| Search this site for “glimpse.” |
|
Yes, there are a few threads on Glimpse videos. Not as much discussion as there could/should be - the Glimpse option is fairly new. It's a 60 to 90 second video recorded without editing. You can re-record as many times as you wish, though I think once you do so, you might lose the previous recording.
You pay 22 bucks. Can send to as many schools as you want, though I would check the school websites, in the area of the admissions checklist, to see if this is mentioned as an optional submission. |
| Baylor University? |
BU more commonly refers to Boston University. This year, Boston University offers the "optional" submission of a Glimpse video. |
| It’s on the website. Click on first year applicants and it’s one of the things on the checklist. It’s a clickable link to the details. |
I dont think you looked or just wanted to start a new thread. I just googled "bu video undergraduate application" and got this: https://www.bu.edu/admissions/apply/first-year/ |
| Obviously I looked and didn’t find it. But I hope you feel good about scolding me. |
Obviously? No. |
| FWIW, my kid found out about the glimpse video at BU a few days before they submitted their ED application. They didn’t send one in and got in anyway. It was a low reach for them. I don’t think it would have added to their application at all, so didn’t push them to make one. |
I found it. Does anyone know if it is okay to turn in AFTER the application is already submitted? This is new to us. Thanks. https://www.bu.edu/admissions/apply/first-year/ Found here at the checklist |
If the application has already been reviewed, then it would probably be too late. If the application hasn't been reviewed yet, it's probably fine. It's just a link in the Slate online application file that admission readers can click on. |
Thank you! |
