Still going to open houses but wanted to also see what here people think. We live Langdon (ne dc) and are in bound for Langdon elementary. Originally was going to put stokes as our top choice but sort of lost after that. We are also considering moving to NW (or cap hill)in the next year or more (planning to stay in DC long term and I know the middle and high schools are better over there) so our in bound may change too. I like the idea of the immersion but not set on it. Any thoughts?

A lot of Langdon zone people go to Langley and vice versa. Not saying one is better than the other, it's just which you prefer.

Look at Inspired Teaching and beware Shining Stars.

If you are going to move to get IB for a solid feeder pattern, I would go for convenience this year and stick to your IB.

Mundo Calle Ocho is popular in your area. Yu Ying if you feel you can support Chinese. Burroughs is a nice school but. It necessarily worth the inconvenience if you're fine with Langdon. Lee if you're into Montessori-- but make sure you actually are into it.

There are a few immersions. Check out Mundo Verde, Oyster Adams, Yu Ying, Global Citizens, or Mary Bethune.
