| What protein heavy apps do you prepare for game day with a small crowd? |
|
How do you define small crowd? All adults?
I assume you're looking for apps you can easily eat with your fingers from a paper plate, right? So like pretzel bites, cut veggies, nachos, CFA nugget tray. Is there a main meal served later? For example, are you ordering pizza during halftime? Or just heavy apps for all 4 quarters? |
| Games are long. Plan on a meal not just multiple different apps. But something easy like a taco bar, chili, deli spread, etc. |
| Good timing with tomorrow’s game: dinner at 6:30 |
| Almost every game will go through a mealtime, so I would plan on something like pizza, chili, sandwich platters, pulled pork and rolls, etc. |
Commanders/Eagles game Sunday ends in a 6:30 mealtime. |
I'd probably order pizza or put out something more substantial during the second half then. |
| IDK, Commanders one win from Super Bowl appearance in 30 years, during a rebuild year after an atrocious owner? Calls for a little better than pizza delivery. |

Protein heavy apps I tend to make:
Mini meatballs (DCUM will go after this as trashy, but the ones with the grape jelly and barbecue sauce) Chicken wings Deviled eggs Falafel bites Onion dip made with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream w/ chips or veggies Baked brie |
any recs for store bought mini meatballs? |
|
Appetizers: veggie plate w/ hummus & some dips, nachos
Main: chili with all the fixings and cornbread, salad Dessert: some sort of warm cake & ice cream. |
I get them at TJ's. |
| Heading to Wegmans not to see what they’ve prepared for the big game. |
Mama Mancini all beef at Giant. $10 |
| Whatever make, space it out and bring out 1/2 of it at half time so new warm items to graze through then. |
