| Is it common to try to enter the lottery again (for PreK) due to disappointment with PS lottery spot? I'm curious if there is a significant shift in kids between PS and PK in Capitol Hill Schools. |

| I think there are some shifts caused by Peabody and 2-Rivers having significant intakes at Pre-K 4. I also think a significant percentage of folks at Tyler, JO Wilson and even Maury probably re-enter for pre-k 4, even if they are happy. If they get lucky, then they can decide whether to switch their kid. |

| also some families switch to Dapitol HIll Day or St. Peters for PreK- freeing up some DCPS PreK spots |

| There are def spots for PK. People move around, people move away, etc. etc. K also. I got both of my kids into 2 different school at the K level because the class size goes up and some kids move off to privates or suburbs or wherever. |
