Amazon and foreign movies

Has anyone noticed how more foreign language movies are available, but only in English? For instance I was trying to watch Polytechnique by Denis Villeneuve, and it's only available in English, not in French. Seems like a bizarre choice.

Yes, I used to get so annoyed, so now I mainly watch Netflix, which has more selection in the original language. Lupin was great, as was Call my agent (both in French). Amazon does have the classic Miyazaki animations in the original Japanese, which makes my children very happy.

Do you mean you can only watch the movie in dubbed English (and not in its original foreign language with English subtitles)?

It's mostly their own stuff like series though. I get that subtitling might be an issue, especially for older movies, but if they have the dubbed version it feels like a no brainer to also offer the original version with no subtitles. It's better than not at all!

Yes!!

That’s awful. Rarely are dubs even close to being acceptable. On so many levels.
