I am a nanny and just started working with a new family. While at the playground a couple of the nannies sitting next to me were talking about places to find jobs online and DCUM came up. One of the nannies said something about crazy moms who wanted slaves and said she responds to ads she thinks are unfair by saying "slavery is over" and other rude comments that make "Normal" nannies look bad.

Should I ask her to stop? I did ask her if her posts were being removed and she said she never checked.

I wouldn't worry about it. This place is largely anonymous and there are MANY trolls -- be they nannies, moms, or whomever.

I think telling her to stop would probably only antagonize her and create a very awkward situation for you in this playground circle. The next time she talks about this I would just keep a very serious face and say "Yikes" and look taken aback -- she probably wants people to think this is very funny and daring of her and get positive vibes so she keeps doing it. Don't give her any positive attention. Change the subject after you give her the cold freeze.

Okay guys, I just removed two posts. If you want to discuss others by name, you are going to have to identify yourselves first.

For the OP, but sure to tell the rude nannies that if I identify them, I am going to publish their names and do everything I can to make it difficult for them to find jobs. Since they seem to enjoy making it hard for other applicants to find work, they should see what it's like.
