Unreliable public buses (Ride On edition)

Anonymous
I'm usually a fan of public transportation, but with this bitter cold, it becomes even more painful when the MoCo RideOn doesn't show up. In the last two weeks, my spouse and I have experienced the "ghost" bus no fewer than 8 times (we commute at different times), where the RideOn app says the bus is arriving imminently, and then it switches to being 30 minutes away because no bus arrives.

Any suggestions on where to provide feedback and how to track these ghost buses so we don't keep getting left out in the cold? It's been so miserably cold, and three days we had to walk 25 minutes to the closest metro station because of the no-show buses.

The county needs more money if you want a better service.

What a stupid answer.

Better to shut the service down than to advertise it and leave unhappy taxpayers standing outside in dangerously cold weather waiting for something that MoCo can't deliver.

If you shut down the service, it won't need funded. If it doesn't need funded, what is the purpose of lawmakers?

For your original question about tracking the ride on buses--I use the transit app, and look for the wireless icon to verify that the bus really is coming. This of course relies on other people using the transit app.
