Just thought I would ask the hive mind if anyone had any suggestions on how to use public transportation from Bethesda (i.e. Bethesda metro station) to the FDA (i.e. Silver Spring metro). I don't have a car at the moment, so driving to another station and parking there is a bust. Most of what I've found is that I would take the metro all the way down through Metro Center to then go back up through Union station/NoMa/Rhode Island/Brookland/Fort Totten/Takoma, then to the Silver Spring Metro station. From there, I could take some bus options to the FDA. This is not the most direct route in terms of getting to the Silver Spring Metro. Also not sure how crazy the traffic on the metro would be during rush hours if I head downtown towards DC and then go back up towards Silver Spring. Sounds like a bad idea, but I wouldn't have much of a choice anyways...
Is there some kind of bus route I could take from the Bethesda Metro station that would get me directly to the Silver Spring Metro Station? Or some other way I haven't been thinking about to get from Bethesda to Silver Spring? I think rideshares would add up quickly in terms of cost, but I'm open for anyone with the experience of this kind of commute.
