If you moved from JKLM to private for middle and high school....

I'm curious if you'd do it again the way you did it if you had a do-over?

- How was the private application process? Were you able to get into schools that are considered high demand on this board?
- Looking back, would you have started at private in kindergarten or do you feel like you got the timing right?
- Did you notice a significant difference in learning / environment / teacher attention when you switched to private?

We have 3 kids. We are deciding between GDS/Sidwell/Maret (if we get in - and I know it's quite competitive) and moving in boundary for JKLM, likely Mann.

We can make either path work financially but private for 3 starting in pre-K is a stretch for us. Still, educatoin is important to us. Can we get the best of both worlds but doing public elementary and switching to private. What do you wish you knew or could do differently?
