Elon Musks’s gaming cheating scandal

There has been drama in the gaming community.

Elon Musk has bragged in interviews that he is a top player in the world, he holds a top high score in the new game Path of Exile 2.

Asmongold, a right winger, a gamer and a Twitch streamer, analysed Musk’s live stream and demonstrated that Musk was playing like someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing.

That and the sheer amount of hours it takes to have this type of score show that Musk is paying others to play for him.

In response to Asmongold‘s accusations Musk took away his blue check mark in Twitter, unfollowed him, then posted screenshots of their PMs at the same time revealing that he has zero understanding of how gamers publish their content.

Gamers started spreading this joy and posting more on the topic and sharing.

Then Musk had both of his wives write on Twitter that he is indeed the best.

Then Musk kind of admitted to cheating by saying “I never claimed I didn’t cheat”

It continues to amaze me how petty and crazy Elon Musk seems to be. The man is having a mental break in front of the whole world and no one confronts him because of the money.

I know nothing about gaming but fully believe Elon Musk with cheat, lie about it, use his power to punish people who revealed it, force his various "family" members to vouch for him, and then essentially confess to having done it.

Game manufacturers give developer/mod powers to people with a large audience like that all the time. It’s part of their marketing and really nothing new. He’s probably playing on a developer account all the time or just uses enough mod hacks to get huge scores. Of course Elon’s not sitting around playing video games 24/7, he wouldn’t be at the inauguration today if that were the case.

No, that’s actually cheating.
To be able to have such high score in this game one has to play for hours and hours. That’s part of the game.

This means Musk had hired multiple hired people play for him. Occasionally they gave him controls and he streamed. That’s when it became obvious he didn’t know the game.
