BCBS FEP Pre-Authorization Timing

How long did it take for your pre-authorization for IVF for BCBS FEP take? Mine has been pending for 2 weeks. They have 15 business days, but that is after my cycle start date a week from now. Any thoughts or advice?

In my experience, anywhere from 10-14 business days. My financial counselor encouraged me to call BCBS to inquire on the status because sometimes it helps to speed up the process. The one time I called, the rep told me it had been approved the afternoon prior! My fertility clinic was just slow to get the update.
