| I took of my wedding rings to do the dishes at my friend's house in nyc. Of course i forgot them and left them there. What is the best way for her to send those rings to me in DC? |
| Just have her mail it overnight, certified, with insurance up to however much you’re willing to pay. I mailed $10k necklace and it cost about $300 cross country. And be sure you’re home to receive it. |
| Really the only responsible way to do this is for you to pay hundreds to insure it, probably ahead of time, though a pre-paid label from FedEx or something. |
| Weekend girl's trip? Take Amtrak and do a Broadway show. |
DING! DING! DING! |
|
| Fedex or return and get them yourself. |
| Fed Ex w/ extra insurance - I did this once |
| I'm pretty attached to my actual ring, so even insurance wouldn't cut it for me. It's not a bad trip, I'd just drive up. |
|
I wouldn't put them in any kind of mail or courier unless you're the type of person who upgrades and changes out rings every 10 years or something.
Hop on the Acela, have lunch with your friend and get the rings, and then come home. Or just wait for the next time you know someone coming from NYC to DC to transport them for you. |
| It's cheaper to fly or Amtrak to NYC and get them yourself than to ship them properly. |
