| Tonight. Dave Chappelle host. |
| Thank you for the heads up. |
Oh yesss! Thank you for the heads up. I was wondering when a new show was going to debut for the New Year. I haven’t seen a new one since before Christmas. And I love Dave - the show is practically guaranteed to be good tonight w/him as the host. |
| The monologue had the lowest energy of any SNL monologue I’ve seen. |
It was horrible. And extra long. |
I think you all just don't get or like Dave. I love him. |

I’m a 50 year old white woman. A liberal who has a SJW career in DC (focused on domestic and international humanitarian issues).
I’m also a big fan of comedy in general and have been since I was a teen and they showed comics on Friday Night Standup and It’s Showtime at the Apollo on tv. I’ve followed Dave’s career and countless other comics for decades. Dave’s monologue was excellent. For the last decade he has deftly incorporated the most timely issues into his act, addressing the politics while trying to build bridges. He could have dedicated the entire set to criticizing Trump, but he’s smarter than that. Instead he reminded everyone—including Trump—that we are counting on him. Tying the Carter piece to Palestine and then connecting it to the Palisades was brilliant. You won’t see that with any other comedian. Comics like Chappelle are striking the right balance on politics and social issues imho. |

The monologue was brilliant.
Lorne knew exactly who to call. I love that Dave did a few sketches too. He was having fun. |
