| DS has been playing outdoor rec. soccer for 3.5 years in the fall/spring seasons. He just starts indoor basketball this winter. Why do I see him having more potential in basketball than him playing soccer in terms of making faster progress? DH says that it seems like his upper body is stronger than lower body. Because he starts basketball late, he is frustrated that no one in the team passing him ball. He uses soccer technique for defense and guard, something seems weird but I can't really tell which part. Maybe he is running around a lot on the court to block people, unlike other kids. His shooting rate is quite good for starter. I am debating if he should give up on soccer in the next year or so to shift to basketball. We will see how he goes at the end of season. |
