Young children and foreign language

Did anyone's DCs learn a foreign language at a young age (toddler/preK) either through language immersion school or supplementation? Wondering if it actually sticks or if you saw real learning. I'd like for my child to learn another language, and there seem to be lots of options in Manhattan to supplement, but does it really work ?

Need continuous learning otherwise they will lose that language.

Also a lot easier to do when it’s just speaking. Starting in elementary many families I know are devoting at least half a weekend day to school for reading and writing in the foreign language.
