The last time we went to Tokyo, we stayed in Ginza. It was fine but due to our jet lag, we ate many of our meals at the 24-7 convenience stores. I would like to stay somewhere with more later eating options this time around, preferably walking distance to many places. I will be traveling with my kids in elementary and high school. |
There are lots of restaurants at Akasaka.
You could still stay in Ginza and take the subway. |
Bite the bullet and adjust to the time zone. I traveled to Tokyo last month with middle school aged kids. We landed, stayed up as late as we could, and ate our meals on schedule from day 1. If you don’t do it this way, you will squander part of your vacation time.
If you want to be in a place where restaurants open later, try shibuya, shinkjuku, roppongi, omotesando. |
