| I can't find many reviews about Harbor, and I hope to get feedback, especially for recent years. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Have two kids (one is 3 year old and one is turning 5). |
| It is a small school, but very warm and lovely. They really focus on social emotional growth and they can really cater to “unique” kids. It’s in their tagline, but it’s very true. Kids who benefit from small classes, lots of nurturing attention, sensory friendly, everyone knows every kid. There are three preschool classes, then one each of k-3rd. |
Thanks! How do social dynamics look there? Would a class that is too small make it harder for kids to make friends?

A class that is too small may make it harder to make friends or more likely it’s just that kids are “friends” due to lack of choice. |
| New naive parent here…what do 2 FT working parents do with their 2 year-old during the summer if they go to Harbor during the school year? Looks like a great school. |

We were new to Harbor this year in PS 2’s & 3s. We absolutely loved it! I have never felt so connected to a group of people so fast. Everyone we have met has been so warm and inviting. As a first time Mom, and someone who had stayed home with her until she turned 3, it was very hard decision to send her away. We started half days and when I noticed how much she was loving school and wanting to stay everyday I picked her up, we quickly transitioned to full days. This has been such a big blessing and looking forward to sending our second child to Harbor.
As far as summer camp, we are doing creative summer at Holton Arms. What’s great is there are tons of families with older kids who have been to other camps and quickly got a list of camps in the close vicinity to Harbor and beyond. Couldn’t ask for a better community to be a part of! |
| We are a second year family at the Harbor School—we absolutely love it! The small classrooms with two teachers is great. All the kids in the school know who everyone is. There’s about 22 teachers and staff. Highly recommend! It’s such a great community! It’s a hidden gem—I can hardly believe they don’t have a waiting list right now. |
