Can someone give me feedback if the AoPS online classes are the same as/ different from/ the in-person ones? Thanks!

I don't know anything about the in person classes but we love BA online and we have some of the work books. In person is pricey by comparison, although the main diff is your DC stays on track. At home, you have to do the work to keep everything on track.

I also didn't bother with in person because it's a bit far flung from where we are. I personally like the online format because you can jump around, depending on your DC's interests. This can be a good thing for helping them stay engaged.

Both formats are great and challenging. In-person has the class and workbook, which provide additional materials and provides more opportunities for written work. There are formal tests, as well as class activities that allow the kids to learn from each other. Having predefined milestones helps my DC stay engaged and on pace with the curriculum to cover all the topics, even new ones that require more effort. The homework includes most of the online BA activities. In-person can be slower, but I find it provides opportunities for deeper learning. The program is rigorous and pushes kids to learn to wrestle with challenging problems.
