For end of march, deciding between a week in Iceland, London or Ireland. Family of 4 with two tween / teens that are pretty active. |
Iceland is $$$. Ireland will be colder and rainier but beautiful. |
We went to Iceland in March and it was really cold. I mean, duh, it’s ICEland, but it’s super windy, so it feels a lot colder than what the temps alone would indicate. Even at the Blue Lagoon, we only stayed for a short time because just having your head above the water was painful cold. |
so cold and wet |
I’d say London or Dublin and Belfast. It’s going to be so cold I’d want indoor activities. But I do love Iceland and I’d brave it if that’s your chance. |
London. Trees will actually be starting to bloom by then. |
Thanks this is helpful! |
Ireland won’t be warm, but the Gulf Stream means it usually has moderate weather. Ireland is almost always damp. Advantage of Spring/Fall over summer is that there are many fewer tourists. Easier to seem sights and hotels often are not as pricey as peak summer season. |
