Spring break flights- good Lord

I've never seen anything like this! I know they are always more expensive but Good lord. We found a great deal on a cruise out of Cape Canaveral but getting there is another story. I don't know if I can bring myself to pay $800 for a flight to Orlando.

I feel the same way. Thought about taking the kids on a quick 3 or 4 night cruise- we can do it for pretty cheap. But flights to FLL are 600 each. I can’t stomach that.

Don’t even get me started on our plans to go to Europe this summer.

I paid $250/person back in Sept, which is when you should have been looking. You are less than three months from one of the most popular travel times. FYI, Christmas is expensive too if you didn’t know.

You can’t wait this late. Budget travelers must plan far in advance.

You're very late. I am starting to book fall trips and waiting for winter break flights to open up. Hotels are already open for next December.

Every mocked me when I found a good deal to Puerto Rico a few weeks back. It's tough out there!

Well, the good news is that your flight will likely be oversold, but you won't get bumped.

Yep. Just booked a trip to Vienna and Budapest for next T'giving. I learned the hard way that for best results, you must plan far, far out.

Drive there. Port Canaveral isn’t that bad of a drive.

I haven't found that prices are lower 8 months out than 3 months out. Airfare is just really expensive compared to what it used to be. It is by far the biggest percentage of our travel budget.

I looked at flights to multiple European cities back in September, for a flight in July. It’s hard to even book that far out. And they were MORE expensive than now. So, no.

So last March I found NS UA tix to Miami for our family for end of March spring break maybe 3 1/2 wks in advance for under $250 pp. Was that just luck?

I’ve been watching Florida flights for months and refusing to pull the trigger, but Southwest just had a sale that made it workable for the particular airport I was looking to fly into. We ended up spending about $400 too much for a family of four, as opposed to $1200 too much. I decided to settle

Puerto Rico totally is cheaper than Florida for spring break. Have fun

I’ve been to Orlando 3x in the last 5 years for spring break. I’ve always paid $800 on American.
