Hi,
I finished two years of PLTW and a sophomore, currently debating between PLTW continuation or AP Foreign language. I want to pursue in health care field and not sure which one to take and which one to drop. For world language, will be in Spanish 4. Kindly advise; |
| I am short of periods as I have some double periods and hence unsure which is better for me. Will it look bad if I drop now? If I drop it, need to do the internship and is it easy finding an internship |
|
What are you taking that makes you unable to take both of these?
Do you want to learn Spanish or do to just want to take Spanish to convince a college to admit you? |
| just for college to be completely honest |
| What have you gained or learned from Project Lead the Way? I'm inclined to say you should continue that because no one is admitting solely because you took AP Spanish. As long as you met your foreign language requirements, you're fine. |
| English is not your native language. Are you a parent? This is not how American teens phrase things. |
I don’t think anyone getting admitted off project lead the way either. Take whichever one sounds more interesting. |
| Talk to your guidance counselor. |
|
Do you speak a language other than English at home and could you test in that language without taking the class?
If your PLTW is in biomed academy, I would stick with that. |
| Thanks, decided to stick to Foreign language as PLTW is more engineering focused in my school. |
I would have recommended this also. PLTW is underwhelming and AP Spanish will be a stronger class and you will learn more. |
You can do both. But Level 4 of a World La guagr is huge pain in the whatever body part you'd like to use. |
It's not AP Spanish. It's Spanish 4. |
OP says it's AP Foreign Language, FWIW. |
