My friend and I live about an hour apart, and Columbia, MD, is halfway.
We want to get together, with the kids (four girls ages 8-11) and have them do an activity or something while we talk; she’s going through a rough time and we need girl time while also allowing our kids to see each other, as we all used to live in the same town, and they miss each other. Any suggestions where kids can play/do an activity in Columbia while moms can talk? TIA! |
I live in Columbia- many of the activities are part of the columbia association and you have to be a member or resident-

Blandair Park playground. Plenty of stuff to entertain kids those ages, it’s enclosed with a gate, and has a covered area with benches for parents |
That age is very good for Climbzone, which is also fun for adults if you are fit enough. 15 miles from Columbia though. |
Earlier PP here, the Climbzone rec reminded me about SkyZone in Columbia. Maybe a bit expensive but perfect for what you’re looking for. |
Historic Ellicott City for shopping and lunch. You can also hike the Trolley #9 trail, which is paved and passes a French bakery. If you go early, you can get an almond croissant. |
All the usual. Trampoline park, ice skating, playground, sledding. It’s suburban Central. All the kid stuff is there. |
