who told you stress makes skin greasy.
What is greasy anyway? |
|
No, you have a hormonal imbalance and need bloodwork, OP. Stress by itself does not make your skin greasy. Maybe you're hyperthyroid and that's why you're feeling hyperanxious and greasy. It's one of the symptoms.
Talk to your doctor and ask for a CBC, as well as thyroid and any other hormonal marker they think might be related to stress. |

Op here.
Already did the bloodwork and dr said thyroid looks ok I read that during high stress the body produces more cortisol.which leads to more sebum, then greasy skin and hair. |
NP. I’ve had plenty of periods of extreme stress, and my skin has remained its usual dry, flaky self. I’m thinking you may just need to research oily or combination skin and leave stress out of the equation for your beauty routine. How to deal with stress is a separate, worthy question, of course. |
I have generalized anxiety and on top of that have also had sometimes weeks-long periods of extreme stress (leading to panic attacks during which I'm persuaded I'm going to die)... and my skin and hair have remained the same, ie, dry (with an oily T-zone during PMS). Address the skin issue and stress separately. Try acne/oily skin cleansers, clarifying shampoos, suncreen for oily skin, etc. Are you sure you're not just PMS-ing? |
