Spotting after starting vaginal estrogen- normal?

| I am 54 in perimenopause, still getting my period pretty regularly. My GYN prescribed vaginal estrogen cream. Tried it for the first time (just one gram) and I started spotting the next day. The bleeding has picked up a bit more today. I will call my doctor on y - but wondered if anyone had experience with this. |
