This is one of my major resolutions for 2025 - that and curb spending (and solidify a workout regimen). Just spent an hour on my office and it looks a ton better - it's by the front door and so collects a lot of random things. I just saw this and it was so uplifting: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DxtEY7VVF/?mibextid=wwXIfr
I don't want to leave random crap for my kids to go through when I die. My goal is to finish my office this weekend and work on decluttering a new space each week. Anyone else with me? |

Yes! I’m with you, OP. Truly digging out piles of photos and papers and memorabilia- I have unwittingly become the caretaker of now three generations of family history! My last parent died less than one year ago and I have items from my childhood home plus my parents’ last residences.
College DD helping me to sort through and we’re scanning/shredding/tossing. Pro tip: for lots of shredding, I bag it all and take to my UPS store. It’s super cheap and couldn’t be easier. Print out a coupon. I’m also committed to buying way less - most especially new Christmas items. |

Awesome, thanks! |

Never learned to spend really. I consider stores my storage. They are always open, so no need to buy much ahead of time. Not even toilet paper.
I also have nothing from the years 1996-2016 other than few clothes, budgeting notebooks, and documents. |
