Does this thread bug anyone else? I’m so tired of seeing it bumped to the top every couple of days. Without fail, someone undoubtedly revives it even if it slips a couple of pages and is out of sight for a week. Is it the same poster over and over? I wonder…

I doesn't bother me because I ignore it. The amazing thing is that I probably haven't received more than 4 reports for that entire thread. I think there have been more threads like this asking about the thread than there have been reports. The posters in that thread are either very well behaved or very tolerant. I haven't read it to know which is the case.

OP here. I ignore it too but I wonder how it keeps on going. I’ve never heard of Jen Hatmaker and it usually does slip off the entertainment forum’s main page frequently but then someone comes and finds it and bumps it. I find that odd because that doesn’t seem to happen with other threads at all. And a lot of people have no idea who she is. This leads me to conclude that it’s got it be a few lone posters that keep adding to it.

When I have bothered to look, it is quite a few posters participating. My understanding is that the thread was started when a Reddit discussion became too restrictive and posters who wanted more freedom came here. As such, I don't think the participants in that thread are regular DCUM posters. I believe that thread mostly exists in its own little world. The thread probably ebbs and flows depending on what Jen Hatmaker has been posting because the main point of the thread is to react to her posts.

DP. The few times I've dipped into that thread to see what the fuss was about, it's seemed like a lot of mean girl smirking about Jen. Whoever Jen is. Mean girls bullying another woman bother me. But otherwise it's easy to ignore.

I am a regular contributor and reader of this thread. I come on DCUM primarily to read it! This influencer drives me nuts and I love that there’s this little corner of the anonymous internet with people who feel the same way. Why do you want to get rid of it- just b/c you don’t know who she is? There are lots of extremely active threads going on about things and people I don’t care about and I don’t want to get rid of them….

Jen is a ridiculous figure. A former minor mommy blogger now grade z celebrity desperately clinging to what small amount of fame she once had. She has the self awareness of a corn cob and has a business model 100% dependent on exploiting vulnerable women. Her nickname is Big Sis and her supposed boyfriend says dope a lot and weeps at the passing of old white eomen. Oh, and he’s not afraid to talk about race. Not all heroes wear capes.

OP here. I never said I wanted to get rid of it. I was merely curious if it was the same poster bumping it up every so often.
