That are somewhat affordable but beautiful. Any suggestions? |
Lisbon and Porto in Portugal. Beautiful cities and very affordable. |
Budapest. Kotor. Plovdiv. |
Most of the smaller cities/areas in Italy are gorgeous and less expensive. |
A lot of Central and Eastern Europe. Budapest, Bucharest, Krakow, etc. I thought Sofia was not quite as much fun but wasn’t there long.
I would’ve put Lviv on this list but unfortunately cannot now. |
We have traveled a lot in Europe and I love the small towns. But we were just in Mexico after Christmas and stayed in San Miguel Allende and it was one of the prettiest towns that I've ever visited. |
I don’t remember a single block in Budapest having buildings that were not ornate and interesting. |
Krakow |
Uhh...Paris? |
OP's first criteria was affordable. Does Paris meet that? |
Paris is dirty. |
Lisbon yes, Porto not so much. |
Salzburg |
Agree - Salzburg. Innsbruck also really cute. Small but worth a stop. |
DP. I would actually flip that. |
