How are some roads still so bad/not plowed at all?

Does it not feel negligent at this point? It’s been 3 days. This is kind of ridiculous at this point and I honestly feel like they are gonna close all day again tomorrow claiming this as the reason. Which it is a reason, but it is completely preventable. Seriously-where are the plows????

They spent all that additional tax revenue they got from you on a getaway to Europe. Sorry.

Shortage of resources.
You can be creative and think of which resources.

MCPS doesn't plow roads.

MCPS doesn't care if your street isn't plowed, OP.
It cares that bus stops are clear, buses can start in the morning, and school sidewalks and parking lots are cleared.

You sound extremely confused. If you don't know how it works, don't complain.

According to MoCo snow removal portal website:

"MCDOT has finished treating all county maintained streets, and will continue to monitor pavement conditions and address as needed."

MCDOT = Montgomery County Department of Transportation

You can check status of your area via their portal. If they are saying they have finished, your area's service page is probably going to show they are done treating your street and the areas around it (stage 5).

Are they not plowed at all, or not plowed to your liking?

It was a long storm, and roads are plowed by different jurisdictions.

Depending on the location you will have state, county, cities/towns (Rockville, Gburg, Takoma Park, etc), HOA, privately maintained roads/sidewalks, and MCPS maintained property. You need to be specific about which road or sidewalk is not plowed, and go from there.

Its funny how the county liquor stores have plowed lots and sidewalks but no county side streets. I see plows just driving, not even plowing. I see state plows parked and look like they are asleep.

Along many state roads (e.g. falls road Md 189), the state, city, and county all say somebody else is responsible for sidewalks and so nobody does it.
