I'm not looking for a full on waterpark (i.e., Great Wolf Lodge), but more so a nice resort, somewhere warm, that happens to have a waterpark "feature" as part of its pool set up. For example, we liked the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in FL which has three (IIRC) waterslides and a lazy river.
Aiming for somewhere we can swim outside over Easter break (April 12-20 for my kids). Anywhere within continental US, Caribbean, or Mexico is fine. Not overly concerned about budget. |
Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is a favorite of my kids. |
Beaches T&C |
JW Marriott San Antonio and JW Marriott Desert Ridge (Phoenix) both have lazy rivers and slides. |
Just got back from Hilton La Romana in the Dominican Republic - 4 water slides and a lazy river as part of the resort.
I wasn't wild about the experience overall and wouldn't return. Have two teens and a younger kid and only one wanted to go back to the water park after an afternoon there. |
Agree on Desert Ridge - and it's heated. |
The grand at Moon Palace resort in cancun |
Hilton Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica...10 minutes from the airport. |
Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach has a fantastic private waterpark for all ages. Also El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, PR has El Coqui Water Park which is great for everyone as well. It overlooks the ocean. |
The Turnbery in Miami is great |
I’ve heard very good things about the Four Seasons in Orlando. |

That week is probably already sold out there. |
It may be too low brow for the DCUM crowd, but the Riu in Costa Rica has an amazing water park. My kids still talk about it five years later. |
I’m at the JW Marriott Turnberry right now and it has a waterpark but also is a very nice hotel outside Miami. |
