Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
| Delay? Or open on time? |
| Delay |
| Or might stay closed. Our streets still have not been plowed. |
| I'd think the question should be delay or closed. It will not be on time. |
| Delay |
| Closed |
| This is OP. Please include the status of your streets .. |

I drove past our schools yesterday late-afternoon. The lots were already plowed. The residential side street we're on was plowed once mid-storm and now has a couple inches of (packed) snow. It's certainly passable to get a couple blocks to main street in our neighborhood.
They should be able to open on-time tomorrow. |
| In Bethesda.. our street not plowed. Maybe the plow came once but there is a lot of snow/ice on the streets in our neighborhood which will refreeze unless they salt and plow it. |
| I flew my drone around and saw that the main roads are all pretty clear. Not just major roads, but also the arterial roads you take to get in and out of neighborhoods. It seems to just be the side streets that aren't. Based on the quantity of snow we got, those should be passable without plows. |
That sounds drivable. Remember, it is cold enough there isn't melting and refreezing happening. |
| Probably a delay but I would prefer a closure. |
|
Hmmm, I think closed.
My street in Kensington was plowed once, but looks very dicey for a bus to navigate. I'm mainly wondering about bus loops and bus routes. I think that drives a lot of decisions. |
|
I'm in Germantown and our side street has been plowed and will probably be plowed again today. The sun is up. But the bus stop, which I can see from my house, doesn't look great.
I'd predict 2 hours late to let the sun come up so teens are not driving on ice and bus stops are a little more accessible. |
| I looked up snow removal status on furthest out peeps in Damascus and it says they are only 60% complete. My neighborhood in "Gaithersburg East" service area is not plowed yet |
