Can you take medicine in your carry on? Do I need a doctors note? I will be taking lovenox which comes in pre filled syringes.
Thanks! |
| Yes...I travelled with my bravelle injections. I carried them on b.c I didn't want to risk loosing them. I had the Dr. give me a note...but I didn't have to use it becasue the never stopped me in security...very odd...but they are used to people travelling with needles etc for issues like diabetes...you should be fine. |
| I never had an issue carrying them on, even without a doctor's note. |
| as long as you have a visible prescription on the medication and needles then it's okay, but I traveled with a note as well. |
| How do you handle meds that require refrigeration? |
| I put mine in an insulated lunch bag with a cold pack and made sure my hotel had an in room fridge. Turned out to be pretty easy. Good luck! |
| I didn't have a Dr. note, but brought along a copy of the prescription just in case (although I don't think TSA requires it). |

Ditto to 10:42 - I had the prescription sticker on the box and just volunteered that at security but they didn't really even look closely. They are used to seeing needles (diabetics, Epipens, etc.) so as long as you have the script you'll be fine. Like 10:42, I took a small insulated bag, cold pack, and made sure there was a fridge.
Good luck! |
