He's been quarantined in the bedroom for days. I bring him his meals; he sleeps a lot; I don't have to hear his voice or deal with his moods or his hair-trigger temper... It's been hard to parent alone but overall it's been a very peaceful week. One night this week I dreamed that I finally told him I wanted a divorce and it was the most exhilarating feeling.
Just had to share that. |
| Time to end it. |
| Taste of how it could be. I love when my husband is sick in bed or asleep! |
+1 Why on earth would anyone stay in a marriage like this? |
| I get you, OP. |
|
You’re lucky. Mine gets a slight cold and spends the whole week constantly whining about how sick he feels. It’s not peaceful at all.
I relate with the dreaming of divorce! |
| So actually tell him you want a divorce |
| mine is a whiner when sick. I prefer when he goes away on ling business trips. |
| If he has a temper then it’s time to end it and move on. Stella needs to get her groove back and it ain’t gonna be with with Mr. Sicko. |
| Dump him. |
Seriously. My husband and I both travel, some for work but more with friends, and every time he's gone I realize how much I never want to live without him (and not just because it's more work for me when he's not here but because I miss his company). I feel like in your case this is telling you something. I can't imagine being married to someone I would rather not be around! |
| So who is shoveling the snow if he is sick? |
You know women can shovel snow and throw down salt too, right? |
Lol. That's just men. I have been married 20 years and love DH. Men are like this when they are sick. |

DCUM:
The nest of Hornets I voluntarily keep in the house has been dormant this week. It's nice having a break from having my face stung repeatedly. I can almost see out of one eye! Next week I expect things will return to normal, with my hornets attacking my face. That's all. Just venting. Don't tell me to remove the hornets. I don't need solutions. I need to complain. |
