Does anyone read the Times? Anyway, my kids attend a charter school, and as far as I am concerned, Fenty is no friend of the charters. |
This is a great source of testimonies from former Fenty supporters, even some of his staff have jumped ship to join in their support for Gray.

Very nice. Sharon Pratt was before my time but it's encouraging to see how many people who've worked with Gray over the years hold him in high regard. |
I haven't read this article and don't intend to do so because I know that when voting for a candidate for political office we are not electing a Saint. There is no person who is squeaky clean and, certainly, no politician. When voting, you weigh the pros and cons of both candidates. Which canidate is more in line with what you believe? Which candidate do you believe will be a better leader? Squeaky clean political candidates, and elected squeaky clean candidates, are not necessarily good in politics, to wit, Jimmy Carter, as president. Politicians and politics are dirty. It is the American way. Get used to it because every adult has a couple of skeletons to hide, even you. |
I personally don't mind that Gray has a good relationship with Wm. C. Smith Company, which is a reputable real estate firm which has a done a lot to bring new construction to SE in the last fifteen years. Contrast that to Fenty frat brothers Karim and Skinner and their completely bogus "companies" which were completely unqualified to receive the city contracts which they were awarded---Skinner's Liberty Engineering had not a single licensed engineer on staff. An enormous amount of city money was siphoned off by Skinner and Karim, who ---because they lacked the ability to actually do the work in question--subcontracted it out and took a huge cut (of our tax money) for doing absolutely nothing. |
