Naxos or Paros?

Trying to decide between Naxos and Paros for an early summer trip with teens. Bonus if you have a suggestion for a villa or restaurant(s). Would prefer to be somewhere where we can walk to at least a couple of restaurants.

I haven’t been to Naxos. But love Paros. I recommend staying in Parikia or Naoussa if you choose to go. They both have shopping and dining in walking distance. Naoussa does have way more walkable dining options in my opinion. The main bus station is in Parikia so you should have no trouble bussing to/from Naoussa. You can also take a taxi for 30 euros. For activity later into the night (11 PM and beyond), Naoussa is better.

I haven’t been to Paros but I have stayed in Naxos (opposite of PP). Naxos is great. Gorgeous beaches, cute walkable towns with shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs. Great food. Great atmosphere. My family really enjoyed it. And we used it as a base to do day trips to other islands like Mykonos, Santorini, etc…

Forgot to mention, we stayed near Agios Prokopios which is a gorgeous beach that has lots of wonderful nearby restaurants.

Same here. It was many years ago, but I had a great time in Naxos.

How did you do the day trips? By ferry?

Looks like ferries run between multiple islands. Anyone have a recommendation for a villa?
