It has been on the market a long time, but it seems to be good privacy for that price. I get the pool is a downside for a lot of people (as it would be for me) so maybe that is part of it?

OP here. Lol, just looked at Google street view. It looks like a shack. These darned agents are seriously using AI or something with their photos.
That's Fairfax County, not Alexandria.
This is a terrible location. It is a main cut through from Fort Hunt to Rt. 1 so very busy and you are close to the Rt. 1 commercial stuff. Noisy fire station and hospital right there. Would never buy there.
The location seems like it would be ideal (walk to library, etc!) but it’s not. That’s a very congested intersection, the fire department, police station and hospital are right there and as PP said, it’s also a cut through to Route 1 to avoid the Sherwood Hall/Route 1 intersection. I think there is also an abortion clinic at the end of the street (which is fine), but it gets a lot of protestors.
The carpet is off putting (though it looks brand new), the range on the island is awful, and the ceilings look low. It also sold a year ago in the $700s. Is it a flip? Or did someone move in and then list it 5 months later?

Kitchen is clearly a cheap Ikea install and I'd be concerned about the HVAC system. The wall units (especially one right above the bed??) are the cheap kind I installed in my warehouse.
My money is on the fact that this is a flip that the owners cheaped out on and are looking to sucker someone in for bigger money than its worth. |
