You'll get used to it, typos, bad grammar etc. MCPS is full of that, especially from teachers and school administrators. At first I was horrified, but like I say, you'll get used to it, as it's rife.

Lower your standards and expectations in all things when it comes to MCPS.

Typos on the part of a school or it's staff are bad, embarrassing and funny. Here's something else that's funny and embarrassing. Parents with emails along the lines of "bigtitsgirl" or "hotmamacita" or "longandthick". I'm always surprised those parents aren't worried about using an email address like that.

Maybe this anxious feeling will subside? But right now it is a constant while the website says "MCPS Superintendent's Recommends Budget for Next School Year" over a photo of the Superintendent, who appears to be looking at the typo, just like me.

Honestly I think this is a sign of how much communication is going out and not having dedicated staff to proofread. I would rather have the frequent communication despite some proofreading issues than less communication or more money spent on communications staff. It is fair to say we all make mistakes that better proofreading would catch and when pointed out to us we all feel that ‘oops’ moment. I do not think this is an issue of undereducated teachers or administrators who do not know what a possessive noun is but rather of overworked teacher and administrators trying to get communication out quickly.

It’s disgusting and rude! I send everything with more than 1 typo back to the principal in red ink.

Any written correspondence by school personnel is considered a legal document. Typos should be minimal and sporadic at best.

It’s not DCUM where nobody should GAF if youse caint spells.

No. It is a sign of how uneducated the staff of MCPS truly are. All of them, morons.

It used to bother me. Now I have come to expect it.
