I don’t know if it’s due to perimenopause, getting out of a stressful sh*tty marriage, or starting a new job with a great cafeteria, but I recently gained 15 lbs and …. holy crap, my face boobs and butt actually look so much better it’s shocking. I’ve always been in great shape doing tennis, resistance training, and Pilates so my body is toned and strong but damn, it actually looks so much better with a little extra cushion. I don’t love the extra fluffiness around my middle but I don’t want to lose weight anywhere else - I look at pictures of my face from a year ago and I actually look haggard. So I don’t want to go the ozempic route. My only option for weight loss in one specific part of the body but nowhere else is just liposuction, right??

I can’t tell if you are happy about the weight gain or not. If you like the weight and want to just tighten up then heavy lift

I should add I know I still need to lose weight, especially around mid-section, so I'm focusing on heavy strength training, low-impact cardio, and getting sufficient protein.

Perimenopause. Time to reevaluate your diet and exercise NOW because it's only going to get harder to lose weight as you age.

From what weight to what weight?

If you were 115 before and you now weigh 130 and are 5’7” or something, this is NBD.

Most American women are not in a place to healthfully gain 15lbs at 40.

What is the before and after weight and what is your height?
