I made a chicken and rice recipe in my rice cooker last night, from a recipe I got online. Basically, it said to put the rice, a can of cream of chicken soup, water, chicken and frozen veggies in the rice cooker and cook. It came out fine texture-wise, but it's incredibly bland. I tried adding some spices (tumeric and onion powder) and salt, as well as some shredded mexican cheese, but it's still pretty bland. Should I keep adding more spices and salt, or is there anything else I can do to help it?
FWIW, it's about 6 cups of rice, a bag of frozen veggies, and one chicken breast. |
Make it curry rice chicken surprise?
Maybe add some more salt, freshly ground black pepper, a few splashes of tabasco, and then turning it out into a baking dish, sprinkling more of your mexican cheese on top and broiling it until golden and bubbly?
How about 1 cup of salsa?
soya sauce (as long as there's not a bag of salt in there already)
Sea salt, and a splash of something acidic (lemon juice is always a good one to try).
Goya seasoning, and some cilantro should do the trick

garlic. lots of garlic.
Throw out this mess of slop and make a decent meal.
Cayenne pepper, salt and lemon juice. Be careful with each - it's easy to put more in, but impossible to take it out.
