| If I want to make regular coffee and not an expresso, is there a Nespresso machine for that? I thought there was but I'm fumbling over recs I've been reading. If you have one or another brand for drip coffee that you like, please share! |
| Espresso. |
| Nespresso Vertuo |
Yes nespresso vertuo |
This is the one we have and it works great. You just buy the coffee pods instead of the espresso ones and it uses more water. I like both! |
| OP here--yep had a misspelling. and thank you for the rec! That is the one I thought but I just wanted to be sure. |
| What makes Nespresso Vertuo superior than say a regular ole Mr Coffee drip coffee maker or a Keurig? |
| Can you use a generic coffee pod with nespresso vertuo or do you have to buy the nespresso brand? |
It doesn’t make drip style coffee - the coffee is still very espresso like in that it will have a crema layer. |
| I love my Vertuo so much and look forward to coffee again! Only thing is it doesn't get the coffee super hot so I have to microwave it a little - anyone else have that issue? |
| Just get the espresso original if you’re only going to use it for drip (luongo). The pods are cheaper and it works great |
| Get a single portion drip coffee maker. Pods are bad for the environment. I’d recommend mine, but I’m not home right now. Got it at Walmart online. Love it. |
| Vertuo, but careful because there is way more caffeine in one pod than one cup of coffee. Also, prices for Nespresso pods are going up January 8th. |
