Jan and Feb travel-if you don't ski where do you go someplace warm?

Jan and Feb travel for those of you who don't ski where do you go someplace warm?

I'm trying to travel a little bit more this year. Because of health issues and severe food allergies it makes travel difficult for me but I'm trying to travel more. I'd like to go some where Jan or Feb since less people travel so there will be less crowds. I'm looking for ideas since I don't ski do most of you travel to warm places? Or even if you don't ski do you still go to cold places to visit in the winter like Vermont or Upstate NY? Looking for ideas in the US.

For warm, in the US, we go to Puerto Rico. Even with the power outages. I need sun and heat at this time of the year.

We don’t ski and so travel in Jan & Feb (long weekends)… but not to warm places. We have gone to NYC, Williamsburg/Jamestowne/Yorktown, and Norfolk in winter. Philly is another option.

Before kids I would go somewhere in the Caribbean or Mexico. Now with kids, the only time I've traveled someplace warm during this period of time is FL.

I would be heading to the beach-Carribbean or Mexico!

If you want to stay domestic, Tucson is gorgeous that time of year. Warm and the Sonoran desert is really something.

You have to go full Caribbean to be guaranteed warm in Jan/Feb. South Florida it’s possible but not guaranteed.

We just got back from Mexico.

Definitely Caribbean or Mexico. Weather is perfect and so many activities in addition to beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters.

Why would kids limit you? Do a Carribean cruise and bonus is kids club.

That is what we did from age 1-7

NP here but same. My kids are 7 and under and in school now so FL is easier since we just have long weekends to travel. I wish DCPS would bring back the week long February break!

For OP, I'd go to the Caribbean if I were you. I'd think Aruba or Grand Cayman would be relaxing and have restaurants that can easily accommodate food allergies.

We tend to lean into winter when it’s winter, even if it’s not skiing. Summer is long enough.

If you can’t ski, what about snow mobile? Yellowstone.
