Backpack Carry-on Users

Which one do you use? I’ve seen some nice backpacks lately traveling almost hiking styles but without those metal bars.

Good writeup here.

Personally.think the Osprey Farpoint or Fairview is the best bang for the buck. Peak Design 45 liter is great but $$$ unless on sale.

I had one like this (no waist strap) before, and now that I have one with a waist strap, will never go back. It's so much more comfortable with the waist strap because it distributes the weight more evenly and reduces strain on your shoulders.

100%^this. The waist belt makes or breaks a backpack. Having the weight distributed vs your shoulders and neck taking the weight- your body will thank you.

I took one to NYC. Never again. I was so uncomfortable.

Maybe I’ll make an exception for an airplane, which loses luggage often enough.
