Resort for multi generation family getaway driving distance from Philly

Anonymous
I’m looking to bring my elderly parents on a resort long weekend in June with my family (kids are 10 and 13). They are in Philadelphia and can drive up to about 3.5 hours (they prefer to drive so flying is not an option). We’re in DC and are willing to meet them anywhere. My stepfather is very mobility impaired (can’t walk up more than 3 steps and needs a handrail for even that) but would be nice to find a way for us all to be together in a pretty place where there are also things for the kids to do. Good food is a plus.

I also recommend Nemacolin for what you describe.

Skytop Lodge in the Poconos is a little over 2 hours from Philadelphia and is perfect for multigenerational family vacations.

Hyatt Regency Cambridge Md--very kid friendly. Get waterfront rooms

Skytop Lodge in the Poconos. We used to do multi-gen weekends with my grandparents when I was a kid and that’s still its bread and butter. It’s retro but somewhat modernized and the ropes course is fun for kids.

Nemacolin is unreasonably far from Philadelphia (5+ hrs). Totally different part of the state.
