friends told me it's an excellent service. anyone use it locally around here? can you share your experience? |
Yep. It’s very easy. You just show up, pay like $300 or something and then they email you the results shortly after. |
Yes, I can vouch for HERscan also. It found my cancer via US six months after a clear mammo. The report was very good. Identified 2 areas of concern. My local doctor said, “no, you only need a biopsy in one area.” Got a second opinion at a larger cancer center, and they biopsies both and I did in fact have cancer in 2 different quadrants (multi-focal). |
Thanks for posting this, I am not op but have been wanting to get a breast ultrasound. I just nabbed an appointment. |
Never heard of it.
I’m on the mammo and MRI every 6 months schedule. I know I’ll be paying much more than 300 for my upcoming followup ultrasound at Washington Radiology, so thanks for sharing it at an alternative resource! |
I Had the scan done on July 4th. Paid $295.00
Now I have a email that says to open the website "Blume" my results were in. I did that and it says I have no scan and no appointment. So no results. Waiting for the company to reply. |
Sounds like a scam. |
I am pretty sure I did one through them a few years ago. It was quick and easy. I was in my 30s and had a mammogram and ultrasound a year or two prior that was fine, but I was having breast pain/palpable lymph nodes and just feeling a lot of anxiety about it. The scan gave me peace of mind without bugging a doctor again. I have since had a couple of clear mammograms (in my 40s now so I get one annually). I have thought about getting an ultrasound through them just for extra peace of mind since I have dense tissue. I doubt insurance would cover an ultrasound for me because the dense tissue is my only risk factor. |
