Rec for reliable driving service .
Uber, Lyft , Washington Flyer? Need to arrive before metro is running. Not looking for fancy, just reliable and as reasonable as possible for only one person from Alexandria or DC Thank you. (We usually drop off, but can’t this time) |
For early we still use Alexandria yellow cab and pre book it. From dc we pre book uber |
Uber |
l also live in Alexandria and routinely pre-book Uber. I like how Uber app tells you when driven is on the way so at o’dark hundred I’m not panicking. |
Uber
Washington Flyer is the devil reincarnated. |
Washington Flyer does not do pick ups (or of does, it’s not reliable). Uber/Lyft. |
Is Washington flyer the same as super shuttle now? |
No Super shuttle was different but folded. |
I have had great luck with Washington flyer.
But stood up by Uber for an early flight Fwiw I am at Dulles 1x per month on average. These are all usually reliable, but you can get a lemon 🍋 |
I loved super shuttle for 20 years! |
Whatever you decide to use, just schedule it 25 minutes before you technically need it so that you're not shuffling in case anything at all goes awry.
Have a plan B alternative that is super easy to access and you already have the app for. Some people in Northwest used to use a car service called ACarFor I really don't know if they still exist as I haven't tried them lately. Have a great trip! |
They left me stranded the last time. Even after texting that they were on their way. |
We always use Washington flyer (they’re IADs official taxi). We call in the reservation the day before and they are always early. Cars are clean. May not be cheapest but always reliable. |
Same. Uber/Lyft availability in the small hours is uncertain. |
From Arlington, we book Red Top in advance. They usually arrive a few minutes early. |
