2025 Mini cooper

I am thinking about a 4-door one for a city car. 8k miles a year including 2 road trips.

Op here, any mini owners out there.

Fun, zippy car but maintenance can be a beast.

Join the BMW Car Club. Their magazine has articles about MINIS from time to time, and a MINI-specific columnist. Unfortunately, MINI models don't qualify for the Club purchase rebate.

There are also several MINI-specific online forums out there which may be useful. Just Google "MNIN Forum" to get a list.

I owned a 2005 Mini Cooper S for 4 years. It was a great car for around town. If I were to get one now, I would get the electric Countryman SE.

Why? Honestly, asking. What makes it attractive?

Minis are mostly city cars, which is what the original poster wants. Therefore, an EV makes a lot of sense. While the Countryman is somewhat bigger than a Cooper, it is still reasonably small. It has decent range (unlike the Cooper EV which is no longer available), it is nicely appointed, and is available at a good lease rate at the moment. Even the electrified Cooper would be a good city car if you have home charging (it would need to be charged a lot).
