How much does strep test cost at CVS minute clinic with BCBS PPO? I've been on hold forever, does anyone have experience and is willing to help a sick parent? I've never been to a minute clinic before. Deductable met.

it should be fully covered op once you hit your deductible.

I think you'll have to pay your urgent care copay/coinsurance for the visit itself.

My deductible is like $15,000 so does anyone know how much?

A few years ago, I could get an online estimate from the website when I booked. I took my son in for strep once and pretty sure it was apx $125 for entire visit.

VHC urgent care charges apx $90 ea for covid and flu tests.i didn’t bother paying since results wouldn’t have affected treatment in my case. But I always test if I suspect strep for me or my son…. Don’t want to suffer or risk infection getting worse.

CVS lists the cash price.

That was not me -OP

I thought I was finally getting through to an agent and then got cut off after being on hold 48 minutes.

I think I might just stay in bed. Initially I thought it felt like the last time I had strep, when the only thing burning like the fire of a thousand suns was my throat, but now my head is stuffing up, so probably a virus, right?

My Covid visit to get paxlovid rx cost me a little over $100.

Nobody can tell you without knowing the parameters of your plan. You’ll most likely have an OOP copay. Most likely $25 or $35. You can look at your plan for what they charge for urgent care visits. It’ll be listed online.

$15k is probably your out-of-pocket max, not your deductible.

Probably less than $50. In the future, order some home strep testing kits of Amazon. You'll still need to see a doctor to get antibiotics if it's positive, but you can at least know for sure before you make an appointment and save yourself the time and money if it's not.

I haven’t needed one for 2 years or so, but at that time it was $50 copay and a minor lab fee (like a few dollars).
