| What's the word on this Potomac team that was first place in EDP 1? Is there any chance Potomac keeps that team together without ECNL or at even GA? |

Looks like a decent team according to the the rankings app. Usually, with a competitive team like that, you can expect a number of families to leave for other clubs that do have ECNL or GA by U13.
Who knows who will stay at the club after U13 tryouts next year. I would even assume a few players will leave this year at U12 tryouts next spring. A lot changes between U11-U13 for families looking to get a slot on the most competitive teams. |

2014s for Potomac had a decent season but if you look at the tournaments they are playing, it’s garbage. They’re in the Jeff Cup but in the fourth or fifth bracket.
The decent families will leave after spring season. The delusional ones will stay, the realistic ones will leave in the next year. |

imo, SYC is tops (won their EDP league and have had success at tournaments). Last year I would have said GFRSC but a lot changed in the last year.
Next is a group of teams that do well in leagues but mixed results for tough tournaments: GFRSC, Loudoun, and MYS. There have been some roster moves on these teams which can make certain league or tournament teams stronger/weaker. Next group includes Arlington, both Richmond teams, VSA Jeff Cup has their own rankings of these teams (with Strikers on top), so take that for what it's worth |

GFR has lost there three best players this fall and is slipping. SYC/ Loudoun actively recruiting 8/9/10 year old girls. |

probably never, because they NEVER played against each other until recently. Potomac historically played NCSL until last year when they switched to EDP. Plus rumor is the coach goes around watching other teams play so know exactly who to cover and etc. intense for 10 year old soccer in my opinion. |

I guess if tournament points are all that matter then sure, the tournaments have been subpar. Guess it’s better than let’s say the 2014 Bethesda 1 team flying all the way to Texas and getting demolished. Wonder how many points they got for all those losses ? 🤦♂️ |

Wow …. So let me get this straight … Brand new team from NCSL joined division 1 of EDP and beat the Bethesda 1 team ? That’s crazy !! So glad I live in VA and get to watch Montgomery County get worse . 😂 |

| Agreed with previous posts. Not much going on. Their ranking speaks for itself. Most families who want their kids to advance in the sport will likely look towards the VA clubs. If I saw any serious potential in my LO’s, that’s the first place I would go. |
