8 months post-partum - menstruation and discharge

I am breastfeeding and got my first post-partum period six months after my c-section. It's now been 2 months since that period and I haven't gotten a second one yet. I've been having symptoms of PMS for the past month. I also have thick, mucoid, clear to white to yellow cervical discharge. It doesn't smell at all, and there's no itching or discomfort, so I don't think it's an infection. I have a paragard IUD but can't check the strings because my OB cut them very very short so that DH can't feel them during sex. I will call my OB if I haven't gotten my period by Tuesday, but just wanted to check and see if other new moms have had irregular periods and thick discharge.

Yes - I am 6 mos PP and had periods 2 weeks apart, and am having more cervical mucous than usual. I'm seeing the doctor soon to figure out what is going on.
