One of my houseguests requested honey for their pizza. Is this just a quirk of my houseguest, or is honey on pizza a thing? (It was just regular chain take-out pizza, not fancy pizza, if it matters. He used it as dipping sauce, not drizzled on top.)
Now it has me wondering, what are other sauces that are good on pizza? I usually just eat the pizza plain but maybe I am missing out. |
| I actually love a drizzle of Mike's Hot Honey on pizza! |

yes hot honey pizza is a thing now, even Pizza Hut is on board

| Hot honey is the new thing. Or maybe it’s the old thing and I can’t keep up. Many of the local Bethesda places have it. Love it! |
| +1 to the Hot Honey. Yummy! |
| Hot honey matches well with pepperoni |

I’ve been seeing honey on pizza in restaurants for almost two years now. It’s getting more popular lately. Hot
Honey is a favorite for me. |
| It's been about for over 5 years. First had it at &pizza. |
|
It's a thing.
I always order the pepperoni and Mike's Hot Honey pizza at Ledo. |
| Hot honey is delicious on pizza. It gives you a balance between sweet, hot, and salty. |
| I’ve tried it a lot and I just don’t get it. Reminds me of my teens when everyone would dunk their pizza in ranch. Juvenile. Good pizza doesn’t need Mike’s hot honey (or nasty ranch). |
Agree! I was intrigued by the hot honey on pizza craze but I don’t like it! |
| Not hot honey but it's been a thing at Beau Jo's in Colorado for decades. |
