| Any sense of how this will effect regular decision? |
| ED apps are up everwhere. Google it |
| Affect |
Especially at T25s that are still test optional. |
| Emory fills such a large percentage of its class ED you wonder with such a massive increase in applications if they will fill even more. It makes so much sense if you have wonderful applicants there is no need to guess with yield in the regular decision process. |
| people must be getting scared of competition |
| Give it a rest Emory mom. |
| It's a popular school. |
Wasn't me. But truth hurts. |
Why fight for a spot, if you know that's where you want to go? |
| My guess is that IF they don’t want to increase percentage of class filled through ED, they’ll defer a lot and some will be admitted RD. Might be an advantage there over regular RD applicants because of yield, making RD more competitive for non-ED applicants. |
| Strivers gonna strive. |
This would be the smartest thing to do. Pretty sure Northwestern and JHU do this. I would be surprised if the RD rate drops to 6%. So what Harvard was 5-7 ish years ago. |
And Haters gonna hate. |
| According to Forbes, Emory accepted 30% of the ED applicants…which is a lot |
